Hello Silas Henry Reno, or “how I owe many of you email replies”
Meet Silas Henry Reno. He was born on thursday morning, 7/28, at 7:18 am. Getting ready to bring this little one into the world, as well as renovating a new studio space in addition to finally emptying the old space (just 35 hours before the birth) has kept me from many things- mostly email replies. So to all of you that have inquired about various my morning jacket posters (I have good news & bad), or the many folks that have signed up for my mailing list either online or at events in the past few months, rest assured that I’ll try to make good on all of this in the coming month or so as I transition into a new space and into now being a father of TWO little boys. Thanks for being patient!

What I’ve been up to: Part 2

Somehow was able to find time to buckle down and do an art print amidst busy times (art prints always take a hit during the busy concert months) for Pinchflat Columbus- an collection of 25-30 very cool posters by local Columbus artists. I should have the extras I have at Renegade BK, or online as of June 18th.
Find out more here.
What I’ve been up to: part 1
So with a few days break in the action around here, I thought it would be nice to show some of the stuff I’ve been working on this year.
First off- The Independent’s Day 2011 Tiger. Independent’s Day is an annual event in September showcasing the best of Columbus (and surrounding areas I believe) in the worlds of music, food, & indie crafts. You can find out more info here.
A year in pictures. I hope

While I won’t give him credit entirely (my wife and I have been trying to do a picture a day for years, and she actually is*) my cousin Nathan has inspired me to grab a shot a day if I can- skewing more poster/print related since my wife has the family shots so wonderfully covered.
Anyhow. Here you go:
GO
Renegade brooklyn this weekend!
If you’re in the NYC/Brooklyn/Long Island/New Jersey area this weekend, make your way to McCarren Park in Brooklyn
and come visit me, maybe by a print or two. More info can be found here.
No commentsHelp us out!
Here’s hoping I have at least 5 people that like my work and would be willing to throw a little money at a good cause.
I’ve created a special screen-printed piece specifically for Cd101FM’s 17th annual andymanathon auction. Tons of great items up for auction but I wanted to call attention to this 4 color process print. I’m pulling 10 prints total, but only five are available and only through this auction. They’ve started the bidding at 10 dollars and I’d love to see them all go for something as opposed to one print going for a higher bid (though it’d be nice to see them all go for a good sum)
The money goes directly to “CD101 for the kids” which collects donations and then gives it out to several local charities that benefit children.
If you’re feeling especially generous there are also a few Reno posters up for auction as well. Posters that have sold out here in my webstore. So getting them through the auction would be a double bonus (cheaper and for charity!)
The auction ends friday afternoon, so act fast.
So here’s the auction site, and more info too about the event in general.
OK. go———>
PS- the above jpeg is a closer representation to the finished piece (as opposed to the image you’ll see in the auction)

Thanks again!

Now you can use this info to track me down at events, stop by, say hello, buy posters & prints, buy me food, trade posters/shirts, and all that noise.
Once an event has passed it’ll be at the bottom of the events page, hopefully with pictures or a flickr link from said event.
Sweet.
